Here is how Brent describes his life.
"I was introduced to the outdoors at an early age. For over twenty years, I have hunted, fished, guided and studied the mysteries of fishing and hunting for over twenty years. I have published articles in major fishing magazines and author of the book called "Fly-Fishing for Trophy Trout". I have published articles on what I've learned. My obsession has led me to many IGFA records on a variety of species of trout. As a dedicated teacher and administrator, I have spent over twenty years in public education. I have hosted many TV shows such as: Cabela's Sportsman's Quest, and Cabela's Outfitter Journal. I have been on outdoor shows with Fox Sports, Outdoor Life Network, The Outdoor Channel and ESPN2. I have taught fly fishing seminars, clinics, programs and schools across the west."
Alaska to the shores of Mexico. My appreciation and respect for wildlife has given me a lifetime of enjoyment. More than a world class fisherman, I am a family man with an enthusiastic and genuine love for people and the development of relationships. I currently reside in western Colorado with my family."

FEB MONTHLY MEETING (Report)
Nam Le Presented the Feb meeting “Fly Fishing the East Portal and the Taylor”

| Nam Le Christmas 2007 Taylor |
Those of us who attended the Feb meeting were treated to an entertaining evening. Nam Le has been fly tying and fly fishing for 5 years. He says he has become addicted as he fishes approximately 140 days a year. Nam gave a slide show presentation (you can see it at gunnisongorgeanglers.org, go to photos-Nam Le) of some of his adventures and his fly designs. You gotta love it to fish the Taylor in 6 ft of snow and 15 below zero.

Nam’s enthusiasm and laughter is contagious. We certainly welcome Nam into GGA. Nam is a graduate of Mesa College with a degree in river hydraulics (or something like that). He is presently the manager of the Coffee Trader, so he can go fishing every after noon. Nam believes in simplistic tying and that the only way you catch fish is to have your line in the water. He showed us his ingenious method of attaching weights when it is 15 below zero.

CIMARRON CREEK FLY TYING DEMOS
Saturday, Mar 22 will be the last demo tying day of the season. Randy Fender will demo "midges". Midges are all that Randy fishes. Randy has many different techniques he uses with his tying. He also explains how he uses his patterns. Like t hey say "You don't want to miss this". Last Saturday was a fun day as bob set up 8 stations with old time tools. He then gave everybody the same materials with instructions to make a nymph, emerger, dry fly, etc. It was interesting to say the least. I think Tyler Befus showed us all how it is done.
A special thanks to Bob Burk for providing Saturday demo tying again this year. Stop by and tell Bob thanks.
