January 2008 NewsletterFUN HAD BY ALL
Our annual Christmas Party was enjoyed by all. If you weren’t there you missed a chance to visit with old friends and make new ones. The food was excellent, as always and the items that our members went home with were some of the best we have had.
As this is our annual meeting of the year it was election of new officers for our club. President: Marshall Pendergrass
Vice Pres./ Secretary: Tony Chelf
Treasure: Marilyn Pipkin
Board of Directors: Duane Lawrence
Ed Kehoe
Dave Pipkin
Gale Doudy
We would like to thank all who donated this year. A special thanks to Terry Russell for building us one of his bamboo rods. As always Scott Rods is a great supporter of GGA donating rods and other items. Bob Burk (Cimarron Creek) donated many items, as always. Blue Ribbon Barbeque catered an excelent meal for us. Yvonne Williamson had both knees replaced at the same time and was in the hospital. Harold had to do double duty, and came thru in flying colors.

MEMBERS AT DENVER SHOW
We had two of our members participate in the, The Fly Fishing Show West, in Denver for 3 days. Jeff Hatton took over his wonderful Bamboo Rod collection, did Bamboo , to tie at our show and these gentlemen are good, you don’t want to miss watching them tie and ask questions.
Rod casting seminars and people brought in their rods to be appraised by him. Jeff will also have his collection at our show this year and it has grown, this is something you don’t want to miss if you like bamboo rods and what they looked like in the past. Gale Doudy was our second member and he spent his time tying up some
great looking fly’s and talking to people about our web site and our upcoming show. We got two more fly tyers, from New Mexico
MEETING TIME Our next meeting will be on January 24th in Delta at the Bill Heddles Rec. Center at 7pm. This will be a joint meeting with Grand Valley Anglers. Our guest speaker Dan
Kowalski will give us a report on how our stocking has been doing. This is a great time to meet some new people from a different club and strike up some new friendships and go fishing
together. We look forward to seeing a good presence from our club and seeing some fishing partners. Mark your calendar, January 24th, Heddles, Delta, 7pm.
