Step 7. Place peacock into Dubbit tool and spin into a rope. Wrap rope forward to fill in area behind post. Thread should be hanging at the back of the post. Continue wrapping rope around thread in front of post. Bring rope up along side the post on the tyers side. Tie off the rope on the post as shown. Tie in a hackle by the butt at the top of the thread part of the post. Bring thread down under the hackle and leave hanging at the bottom of the post.

Step 8. Wrap hackle clockwise around post, starting at the top and wrapping down to the base of the post. Tie of hackle with 3 or 4 tight wraps on the post. Whip finish off on the post. Trim shuck and post to body length,

I tie a PMD by using Yellow and Copper Krystal Flash, rust Z-lon, and Whiting PMD dyed saddle hackle.
